Gamma detectors made from hyperpure Ge crystals (HPGe) are still the best solution for high resolution gamma spectroscopy [1, 2]. In addition, in the last years, a new generation of gamma tracking detectors (ie AGATA [3]) has been developed by using segmented HPGe detectors with digital electronics and pulse-shape analysis techniques.
